Oh my
God, did this S-U-C-K. But
did ya know it's based on a true story? Okay, so it wasn't, but
that's what kinda attracts me to
these types of movies. The idea of time travel
interests me, but this movie is not about time travel. And why
did they titled it "Clockstoppers"?
It's more like Clockspeederupers.
This film has a great concept, but unfortunately that's all it has.
Well, it also has French Stewart so
that's not true, but it still sucks. The
plot is terrible. The acting is worse. The writer? Non-existent...or
a kindergartner. C'mon if pranks is
all they can come up with if they have
the ability to speed up while slowing everybody down, then they
have to be five years old.
Think I'm being too harsh? Get this. At the end when our hero saves
the day, guess what his
comrade (his father) says to him? "Zak, you're plan worked!"
Eek! Booooriiiinnng.
The
only thing preventing me from giving this a 0 pop rating is the
concept-- which is a pretty good
one-- what happened to it? And French Stewart.
Why did he take this role? The universe works in mysterious
ways...
So
do I recommend this film? Hell no. But kids should love this...only
thing, the adults taking them, will
not. Best thing to do, drop your kids
off at this, then go to the next screen and catch "Panic
Room". Or stay
with your kids and catch some zzz's.
