Well, another Friday has come and gone for the Jones family once
again solving their issues and in only Jones fashion can be so
funny.
"Friday
After Next" is the third installment of the successful
"Friday" series Executive Producer, Writer, and Star Ice
Cube known for his other roles in "Barbershop", "Ghosts
of Mars", and in his debut film "Boyz N
The Hood" (1991) plays the role of (Craig Jones). Craig
always seems to find himself in all kinds of trouble this
continues into this last installment of "Friday After
Next".
Craig
and his buddy and roommate Day-Day played by (Mike Epps) "All
About The Benjamin's" (2002), "How
High" (2001) he made his film debut in the
(1997) feature film "Strays". They begin their
adventures when a thief brakes into their apartment. The thief
dressed as old Saint Nick starts to take things from their second
story home. Craig finds himself trying to stop this thief from
taking their personal possessions. The thief escapes through a
back window and disappears. The next morning after a long evening
of trying to figure that had taken their things Craig and Day-Day
start their first day at work. They begin their first day at their
new job as security guards for a small local mall. What else you
ask could go wrong for Craig and Day-Day you ask?
Everything
goes south for this dynamic duo. The story takes all kinds of
turns with its endless barrage of jokes, gags, and slapstick
humor, which makes the film really fun. But at the same time makes
the film seem tiresome to watch because you have seen this before
in the two previous films "Friday", and "Next
Friday".
Craig's
father Mr. Jones played by (John Witherspoon) made his first
appearance on the television series "The Richard Pryor
Show" (1977), and in one of his early film roles in the
(1980) film "The Jazz Singer".
Next
year Ice Cube will be busy with other film productions such as:
"Barbershop 2", "The Extractors", and
"Torque". Mike Epps will be starring in the film
"The Fighting Temptations".
Yes,
I enjoy all of the mixed up and crazy adventures Craig and Day-Day
take but I truly wish Ice Cube and Mike Epps find other film
success in other various roles.
