Like the movie?  Maybe you'll like...

Pierce Brosnan and Julianne Moore are both fine actors, and their chemistry is good.  But what does it all amount to?  Not much.

In standard romantic comedy format, the two leads begin as total adversaries.  Brosnan is a hot-shot divorce lawyer, whose methods are unorthodox, but he has yet to lose a case.  Moore has the same track record, but is more uptight and chooses to do things by-the-book.  The two of them are on the same case and both in heavy competition, but Brosnan has the hots for Moore.  She disapproves of his obnoxious personality, but opposites attract to the point where the two of them end up getting married.  However, it happened due to a drunken night in Ireland, and now they have to decide whether to go on with the marriage or make the same decision as their many clients, and get a divorce.

This is one of those harmless movies that does very little to offend and very little to entertain.  Brosnan and Moore's constant bickering is more annoying than funny.  This is no "When Harry Met Sally."  Brosnan is enjoyable to watch in whatever he does, and I think that's all that kept me from completely dozing off.  The movie aspires to be like the classic screwball comedies, but the gags often fall flat.  Halfway through, the movie takes a serious turn and never recovers.  And for the rest of the film, you end up stuck in predictable schmaltz territory.  Even if you're a fan of the two leads, this is not worth rushing to your local cinema.
